Living outside Pakistan?
You fly from the city where you live, so the fares from Pakistan above don't apply, and you budget in the currency you earn in, such as SAR or AED: convert the USD and MYR figures on this page at your bank's rate. Your counsellor costs your plan from where you live.
How much money must I show, and who can sponsor me?
- The balance: typically USD 6,000–8,000 (≈ PKR 1,664,000–2,218,000), in your own or your sponsor's bank account, held for the previous three to six months. The amount depends on the length of your programme and living costs.
- The documents: a bank statement for the last three months and a bank solvency letter.
- A sponsor: usually a parent. Your sponsor writes a sponsor letter and gives a copy of their CNIC.
- Names: your name must be spelt the same way on the bank documents, your passport and your CNIC.
How do I pay university fees from Pakistan?
- Use your bank. Pay university fees by bank transfer to the university's account named on its offer letter or invoice, and the USD 500 public-university fee to the partner named in your agreement. Check the account name and number against the offer letter, invoice or agreement before you pay. Ask your bank which documents it needs for a payment abroad.
- Never pay an individual. Never pay in cash, into a personal account, or to an agent or anyone who says they are collecting money for Career Gliders. Career Gliders takes no payments; if someone asks you to pay them, tell us at info@careergliders.com.
- Keep the receipt. The bank's transfer receipt is your proof of payment for the university and for EMGS.
- Expect bank rates. Banks and money-transfer services charge more than the mid-market rate shown on this page.
- Pay the visa charges once. Many universities collect the EMGS charges inside their own visa package. Pay them the way your offer letter or invoice says, and not again to EMGS.
