In short: whatever your nationality, Career Gliders prepares your EMGS student visa application with you and checks every document, follows it through to your Visa Approval Letter (VAL) and any entry visa your nationality needs, and briefs you before you fly. In Malaysia, TJS Studysteps helps you with the medical screening and follows up your Student Pass with the university.
What do we do?
Career Gliders, before you travel
- Prepare your EMGS application and documents with you, and check them before submission.
- Track the application and tell you when your VAL is issued.
- Arrange a Single Entry Visa (SEV) if your nationality needs one, at the Malaysian mission nearest to where you live now.
TJS Studysteps, in Malaysia
- Help you attend the medical screening at an EMGS panel clinic within seven working days of arrival.
- Follow up your Student Pass endorsement and i-Kad with the university.
What do you need to do?
- Keep your passport valid for at least 18 months.
- Hold the required funds, typically USD 6,000–8,000, in your own or your sponsor's account for three to six months.
- Provide a photograph that meets EMGS's guidelines and sign every form.
- Tell us which country you live in now, if it is not your home country: that is where you collect any Single Entry Visa.
- Pay the EMGS fees, medical screening and insurance. Visa rules and fees vary by nationality, and we confirm yours.
From Pakistan
Pakistani nationals need a Single Entry Visa (SEV), collected from the Malaysian mission in the country where they live, which is not necessarily Pakistan. For the SEV, medical screening and flights, see the visa guide for Pakistani students.
When does it happen?
After you receive your offer letter. Admission and the visa together usually take six to ten weeks, depending on the university, the intake and EMGS processing times. The full sequence is in the student visa guide.
What does it cost?
Our part is included in our service: no consultancy fee for private universities, USD 500 for public universities. EMGS charges its own fees, listed on its fee calculator and summarised in the student visa guide.
