Study in Malaysia

Application and visa document checklist

Every document an international student needs for a Malaysian university application and the EMGS student visa, the checks to run before you submit, and the mistakes that cause delays.

In short: prepare every document as a clear colour scan in PDF. Academic documents must be attested by your country's education authority and its foreign ministry. Your passport must be valid for at least 18 months. Your counsellor reviews the full set with you before anything is submitted.

From Pakistan: academic documents are attested by IBCC (school level) or HEC (degrees), and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). See attestation step by step for Pakistani students.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • A name spelt differently across documents
  • Unsigned forms
