In short: our pathway assistant uses Google Gemini to suggest a study plan for Malaysia from your answers and our programme data. Our own software calculates every cost. A counsellor reviews every pathway. The assistant never decides admission; universities do.
What the assistant does
- Asks you questions about your qualification, grades, the field you want to study, your budget, your preferred intake and city, your English test, scholarships, and any family needs.
- Starts your pathway in your browser while you answer, by matching your answers against our programme data. Nothing is stored and no AI is used at this stage.
- Builds your full plan once you verify your WhatsApp number: a shortlist of 3 to 5 programmes with the reasons for each, your entry route, a timeline based on real intake dates, scholarships to try, a document checklist for you, and risks to be aware of.
- Answers general questions about studying in Malaysia, using only the content on our site, and shows the pages it used.
The assistant answers in English, Urdu or Arabic, in the language you use.
Which model runs it
The assistant runs on Google Gemini, through Google's Gemini API. We use a larger Gemini model to build pathways and a faster one for questions and the interest quiz. Google processes the data for us; see our Privacy policy.
What the AI does not do
- It does not calculate costs. Tuition, fees, visa costs, living costs and the consultation fee are calculated by our own software from our data, and each is shown as approximate, with the date it was checked.
- It does not invent universities or programmes. It can only choose from programmes in our data.
- It does not promise admission, a visa or a scholarship, and it does not rank universities.
- It does not decide anything about you. Universities decide admission. EMGS and the immigration authorities decide visas. Scholarship bodies decide scholarships.
A counsellor reviews every pathway
You see your pathway as soon as it is ready. Every pathway then goes to a Career Gliders counsellor, who checks it and corrects it where needed. If your counsellor changes your plan after you have seen it, we tell you on WhatsApp and by email. Before you apply anywhere, your counsellor goes through the plan with you.
It can make mistakes
AI can be wrong or out of date. Treat your pathway as a well-informed starting point, not a final answer, and check anything important with your counsellor. If you think the assistant got something wrong, tell us at info@careergliders.com.
Your data
Before you verify your number, nothing you type is stored or sent to the AI. After that, we send Gemini your answers and the programme data needed for your plan, never your WhatsApp number or email address. You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Read the Privacy policy.
Changes
We are launching the assistant in stages. If the way it works changes, we will update this page and its date.
