Accessibility

Career Gliders aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA in English, Urdu and Arabic. What we do, what we are still working on, and how to report a problem.

In short: we want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom, or a slow mobile connection. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. If something doesn't work for you, tell us and we will fix it or help you another way.

What we do

  • Keyboard: every link, button and form can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline.
  • Screen readers: pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels. Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
  • Contrast and text: text meets AA contrast. You can zoom to 200% without losing content.
  • Three languages: the site is in English, Urdu and Arabic. Urdu and Arabic pages are laid out right to left and marked with their language, so screen readers pronounce them correctly.
  • Motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, we turn off animations that are not essential.
  • Forms: fields have visible labels, and errors are explained in text, not only by colour. Progress while your pathway is being built is announced to screen readers.
  • Mobile: the site is built and tested for low-cost Android phones and slower networks, as well as iPhones and computers.

What we are still working on

The site is new, and we are testing it with assistive technologies. Some older documents, such as PDFs from universities or official bodies, may not be fully accessible; we can send you their content in another format. We will update this page as we find and fix problems.

Report a problem

If you have difficulty using any part of the site, please tell us which page and what happened:

We aim to reply within 5 working days. In the meantime, a counsellor can give you any information on the site by phone, WhatsApp or email.
